The NHS Primary Care Gambling Service Wins HSJ Patient Safety Award

HSJ Award Win

We are incredibly proud to say that The NHS Primary Care Gambling Service (PCGS) has won the HSJ Patient Safety Award for Best Use of Integrated Care in Partnership Working.

Our team attended the HSJ Patient Safety Awards ceremony in Manchester on Monday 28th September as the service was nominated for two awards. They were the aforementioned Best Use of Integrated Care in Partnership Working Award, and the Mental Health Safety Improvement Award. We are honoured to win and be a finalist for these awards respectively.

Gambling harm rarely exists in isolation. It touches mental health, finances, relationships and physical wellbeing. By working with our partners across primary care, specialist services, the third sector, and people with lived experience, we've been able to offer joined-up, compassionate support that keeps patients safe.

This award recognises that the work we are doing within the NHS England treatment system is working to keep our patients safe and improve their mental health outcomes.

A huge thank you to all our colleagues and partners for helping to build and develop this system, and to the patients who trust us on our journey.
