Raphael Abanwa
Raphael joined the team in 2024 and has enjoyed developing his skills in supporting people experiencing gambling-related harms. He is passionate about providing compassionate, person-centred care and values working collaboratively with colleagues and partner organisations to help people achieve positive outcomes.
Raphael graduated as a Mental Health Nurse in 2023. Prior to joining the team, he worked in a forensic mental health setting, where he gained experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs, developing his skills in risk assessment, care planning and therapeutic engagement.
Raphael is committed to continuous learning and professional development and enjoys building meaningful therapeutic relationships with the people he supports. He believes in taking a holistic approach to care, recognising the importance of understanding each person's unique experiences and strengths.
Outside of work, Raphael enjoys playing football, keeping active and spending time with family and friends.
